Kaloud

Kaloud has a rich history and here is a small part of it.

For almost as long as there has been a notion of tribe or civilization, people have gathered. Gathered to share the experiences that shape who they are and who they hope to be. They gathered around the campfires that lit the night; they gathered in common rooms and taverns of yesterday; and today they gather in the world’s cafés and lounges.

From Shanghai to London and from New York to Tokyo, millions sit together and share themselves. They share meals, drinks and… hookah. They laugh, they cry, they fall in love, and they form new relationships - all while hookahs are passed from person to person, a ritual that is rooted in our shared history.

Now, as we boldly set out on the journey toward our shared future, the people and cultures that uphold these rituals have evolved, and although tastes and habits may have changed, the underlying purpose — connection — remains the same. It is in this landscape, which honors the traditions and rituals of connection while meeting the needs of people living in a new age, that Kaloud is born.

But what is Kaloud?

"Kala" (Kalā) is Hindi for art, and when combined with the word sky, it manifests a cultural and innovative paradigm shift, also known as - KALOUD.
